ABATE stands for American Bikers Aiming Towards Education.

Bikers: we are all equal, thus it does not matter who you are, what you do for a living, or what you ride. Or for that matter, if you ride at all.

Education: we believe that education, not legislation, is the key to motorcycle safety. This means educating ourselves as well as car drivers.

What we are: a group of motorcyclists who take riding seriously. We have several safety programs, which you can learn about by clicking on the Safety link. We also strive to maintain our freedom, which is why we have a very active Legislative program.

What we are not:

- Dedicated to any one brand of motorcycle.

- Affiliated with any one political party.

- We are not against helmets themselves, only helmet laws.
